PLAY is pieces of furniture and products designed for our youngest – functional and aesthetically adapted for a flexible and dynamic use. Children’s first encounter with a public space is usually in the kindergarten, a day-care centre or at nursery school. Here, their experiences and preferences are created, and will colour children’s future understanding and perception of the public space.    

Furniture in Norwegian kindergartens has largely remained the same over the last 15 years. As we experience an exploding development in design, one might ask whether children and their surroundings have been forgotten.

PLAY is a versatile collection with pieces of furniture designed taking particular care to fit children from kindergarten to pre-school. The collection underlines and makes possible the opportunity to create flexible and inspiring surroundings – where the child and play are high priority.

GIRAFFE TRENDLINE

Tried and approved by Teknologisk Institut in Denmark

GIRAFFE TRENDLINE is a light weight and adjustable children’s chair covered by Abet compact laminate. It is delivered with both a baby rail and table. The chair is easily handled as it has been designed with features to simplify lifting and transporting the chair with or without the child. Further, GIRAFFE may be secured to the table in order to simplify cleaning and tidying at the end of the day.

PUZZLE

PUZZLE PETIT is a small and handy stool which may easily be puzzled into one long or shorter bench. This piece of furniture is thus both fun and functional –  ideal for kindergarten. The seat is made of plywood covered with robust and colourful laminate, while the legs are made of solid birch.

KLOSS WARDROBE is every child’s first stop at kindergarten. Tidy and visually harmonious surroundings are important to create a positive first impression and an environment of well-being. The wardrobe is manufactured both with and without (as shown) doors, closing or opening up the wardrobe according to wish.

PUZZLE TABLE

PUZZLE TABLE is specially designed to fit the stool PUZZLE PETIT. Both the stool and the table may easily be puzzled into a line, and are flexible and usable pieces of furniture fit for any activity in the kindergarten or children’s bedrooms. The table is manufactured out of plywood covered with laminate, and the table legs are solid beech.

KLOSS SHELVES is a flexible solution functioning as a building set. This piece makes it possible to combine storage facilities and shaping a room or space, as it may be placed alongside a wall or built into a steady piece in the centre of the room. Such solutions may assist the child in his or her daily routine, and the piece of furniture becomes an integral part of play.

This children’s chair is the only chair of its kind on the marked, as it has both adjustable seat height and a baby rail. Little-Giraffe is a piece of furniture particularly designed for kindergartens – a simple and straight-forward geometrical shape which makes it stand out as a strong feature in any given space.

Also, the design is solving the problem of a visually chaotic and disorganised first impression. KLOSS WARDROBE is delivered wheels and base included.

PONNY is a easy-to-use and robust chair with character. Aesthetically, it ties together with the rest of the KLOSS collection, but with a seat height of 35 cm it is designed to accommodate somewhat older children. The chair is made of plywood covered with sturdy and colourful laminate.
